Preh Touch Commander MC -12

The Preh Touch Commander is suitable for an environment where the size and appearence are
important.

Featuring an adjustable height and able to pivot vertically, the screen can be adjusted for optimal
viewing by standing or sitting personnel of all sizes.

The very thin LCD and touch overlay combination attached to a compact base results in a space
saving but very sturdy package. Featuring an adjustable height and able to pivot vertically, the

The modular design allows for the replacement of the base shoe with a free programmable
Preh MC 80 or 128 keyboard. An optional MSR and chip card reader are planned for the shoe.
The active color matrix LCD measures 264mm with a 640x480 resolution (VGA) or 307mm with a
800x600 resolution (SVGA). Both provide 256k colors. The extraordinary readability of the display
is a result of 200cd/m squared backlighting and the 90 and 50 degree horizontal and vertical
viewing angles provided by the active matrix LCD.

The LCD controls brightness, contrast, image position etc. are adjustable with an on screen
manager (OSM). The device uses 5 wire analog resistive touch technology which provides a
resolution of 1024x1024 points and requires about 1N of force from a finger or any object to
activate.

The touch surface which has a life time of 35 million touches per touch position is made of a
hardened polyester film which is scratch resistant and impervious to water, grease and dust.

The screen interfaces through the analog VGA port and the touch receptors through the serial port

The Touch Commander is able to substitute the functions of a monitor and a mouse.

Restaurants, Hospitality, Grocery, Retail, Fast Food and Medical are a few of the
markets that can take advantage of the design features.
